Client Description: Our client is a specialty construction company that sustains and enhances infrastructures.

Position Summary: The Technical Business Development Manager will be responsible for educating existing and potential clients, developing new opportunities and strengthening existing customer relationships.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Developing, maintaining, and expanding business relationships
  • Participating in sales meetings, sales calls, seminar facilitation, trade shows, and the development of other sales strategies and initiatives
  • Proactively managing accounts and expanding the company’s business relationship with them
  • Collaborate with the Operations teams to tackle construction applications and meet clients’ needs
  • Meeting or exceeding annual sales goals set forth by management
  • Creating, presenting, or responding to proposals for specific customer requirements

Essential/Desired Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • 3+ years of professional experience working in civil engineering, structural engineering, or related material supply or contracting organizations
  • Customer relationship management (CRM) software experience preferred
  • Strong understanding of composites and reinforced concrete design
  • Previous experience with FRP materials and/or Post – Tensioning systems
  • Track record of success in meeting and exceeding sales goals/quotas
  • Experience working in a team-selling environment
  • Solid understanding of sales process
  • Approximately 50% local and overnight travel is associated with this position
